February 3, 2020 – New Hours at City Hall
City Hall offices will be closed to the Public from noon until 4:30 pm on Fridays to allow time for processing work to be completed. Maquoketa City Hall hours are now 7:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 7:00 am to noon on Fridays. MMEU hours remain 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
January 27, 2020 – RAGBRAI is Coming to Maquoketa!
The City of Maquoketa is delighted to be hosting RAGBRAI again! We will welcome riders and supporters for an overnight stay on Friday, July 24th. Please follow the Maquoketa Chamber of facebook and check the Maquoketa Chamber website for information about our community and plans for the RAGBRAI visit.

Platt Street Project Open House
An open house will be held at City hall on Monday, October 28 from 4:30 to 6:00 to provide the public with updates about the project and to get feedback is well.
2019 LEAF PICK-UP DATES
Schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions such as high winds and heavy rains.
Don’t be alarmed if you see the equipment out before your half of town is scheduled. Your street will get done on the scheduled days.
East half of town: NOVEMBER 12 THRU NOVEMBER 15
West half of town: NOVEMBER 18 THRU NOVEMBER 26

- Do not place leaves out earlier than the day before your 1st pickup day.
- Please place leaves in the street one foot from the curb, in the gutter line.
- Windrows only. Large piles are difficult to pick up.
- Don’t park your car close to the leaf windrow.
- Leaves only. NO WOOD LIMBS, BAGS OR OTHER YARD WASTE

HOUSING GRANT INFORMATION
As part of the new metering system that was installed, the City of Maquoketa and MMEU are now able to offer our customers access to a consumer portal.
The consumer portal is a place where customers can access their water and electric accounts and history through a web based portal. Customers will be able to review their consumption, utility bill costs and set and track a budget for utility costs. Additionally, customers will be able to set their account up so they get email alerts when they exceed their budget, a certain amount of usage or when a small or large leak is detected.
